Freshman and sophomore years, I participated in the school FRC Robotics team, where I was a member of the Build, Design, and Programming teams. Not only did I get experience coding and CADing, but I also got the opportunity to use power tools. In the left image, I am using a lathe to drill holes in the robot's frame. The top right image shows the robot I worked on as a freshman. In the bottom right image, I am assembling the practice goal for the robot challenge. We were able to make the robot work to the point where it moved around and shot frisbees into the goal.
